For those who have been following my work, you already know my fourth book will focus on one of Massachusetts’ most haunting unsolved murders: the 1992 killing of Susan Taraskiewicz, known to many simply as Su.
Su was a 27-year-old Northwest Airlines employee from Saugus who was found brutally murdered in the trunk of her car in Revere after enduring reported workplace harassment tied to Logan Airport’s underground criminal culture at the time. More than thirty years later, no one has been held accountable.
But something is happening now.
This case is moving again.
What started as research for a book has turned into something much larger. Every single week, new leads, stories, tips, memories, and connections continue to surface. I’m speaking with retired law enforcement officers who worked the case, people connected to the era, and individuals who have carried pieces of this story for decades. FOIA requests are underway. Old records are resurfacing. New conversations are unfolding almost daily.
And perhaps most importantly, people are finally talking.
If you’ve been following along on my show, Wicked Honest, then you know Friday nights have become dedicated to true crime and the Susan Taraskiewicz case. We break down the history, the theories, the corruption surrounding Logan Airport during that era, and the unanswered questions that continue to haunt the North Shore.
This is not about reckless accusations or internet gossip. This is about a woman whose life mattered. A woman with family, friends, dreams, humor, fears, and a future she never got to live. The more I learn about Su, the more impossible it becomes to let this go.
That’s why I made a decision I wrestled with for a long time.
I started a FACEBOOK GROUP dedicated to Susan Taraskiewicz.
I agonized over whether I should do it. But her family has been incredibly supportive, and the response has been overwhelming. In just one week, nearly 900 people joined. The North Shore is tired of the silence surrounding this case. People want answers. They want accountability. They want Su remembered as more than a headline from 1992.
So I’m asking a favor.
If this case moves you, if you believe victims deserve justice no matter how much time has passed, I hope you’ll consider joining the group, sharing Su’s story, and helping us keep pressure and attention on this case.
I also recently launched a campaign urging the Massachusetts U.S. Attorney’s Office to take another serious look at the case and clarify whether additional federal review is warranted. Every signature matters.
As for my next book, Drive City book — news is coming soon.
Let’s just say there may almost be a signature on the dotted line.
And while I’m still waiting on my final results from PitchFest NYC, where I pitched The Silence in the Sound for film adaptation, there are exciting things ahead.
But for now, and until justice finally comes, the focus remains where it belongs:
